Got up the page for our 5th Super Garage, owned by Bill Gribizi. Also got up Phase II of Connie Peacocks Mustang restoration. Check 'em out!
Hey, folks, we are looking for old, unused DC motors of almost any size or type for Scout projects. Old starter motors, or old generators (not altenators) are about perfect.
If you have one or two kickin' around that you want to get rid of, please let me know at ptwoodycrew@aol.com. I can pick up.
Also looking for old, wornout or dead Deep Cycle batteries (usually forklifts, golf carts, marine or RV). Voltage does not matter.
Any leads would be appreciated.

Stuff
I have a lot of new stuff ready to be posted, and will try to get it all up by the end of the weekend. A few shows, the SummerFest Parade (Windham), a Garage Party and Super Garage, and Phase II of Connie's Mustang Restoration.
Just got back from the Garage Party, so I'll start working on these this evening. Stop back later and there should be some new stuff for ya.

Best of the Best awards - 2009
For those who may be interested in the HotKarz Best of the Best Awards for 2009, here are a couple of quick pix.
Again, for those who may have missed it, you, the folks, will be able to vote via email for vehicles that win at car shows. You will be allowed to vote for any winning vehicle at each show that HotKarz covers. Over the course of the season, the votes will accumulate, and at the end of the season the awards will be given for those vehicles that received the most votes.
So, a vehicle must get into the winner's circle at a show in order to be eligible. And the more often a vehicle gets into the winner's circle, the more votes it could collect.
While this may eliminate some vehicles from qualifying, please bear in mind the purpose of the awards - to be given to the BEST OF THE BEST.
Good luck to you all!

Heat
As we begin to look forward to warmer days, some of you may already be thinking and planning on saving money on next year's heating bill.
If you are considering a pellet stove, have I got a deal for you! I am parting with an almost new American Made pellet stove, by ENGLANDER. It retails for nearly $1800, but I am packing this up with the pipe vent kit, outside air intake kit and 600 pounds of premium pellets for the first person to show up with a truck and $995. And unlike most private sellers, I do accept credit cards (Mastercard, Visa and Discover) and debit cards.
You can get more info and see pix at http://maine.craigslist.org/hsh/1087341736.html. If interested, you can email me at ptwoodycrew@aol.com. But at this price I don't expect it to last long. Come next winter, when fuel cost rises and inflation begins, you are going to wish you had jumped on this.
Now I am sure someone out there is saying, "Hey, Bill, if this is such a good stove (24 hour burn and heats up to 2200 square feet on a single fill), then why are ya sellin' it?"
The answer is simple economics - I have nearly 15 acres of woods. I see little point in buying pellets when I have a lifetime supply of free cordwood, so I am putting in a woodstove. Otherwise, there is no way I would part with this pellet stove. The second reason - I've put on too many pounds. The wife thinks the cuttin', splittin', haulin' and stackin' will be good for my girlish figure.
As a side note, I will soon be offering a really hot bargain on a 24' motorhome, 350 Chevy, rebuilt engine. Great condition. Will probably sell for about half of its value. Will let ya know when I'm ready to post it, but if you want to check it out ahead of time, let me know. Will consider possible non-vehicle partial trades.
See ya in a few weeks! Oh, and I will be posting pix of the HotKarz Best of the Best trophies for 2009. 1st place is 3 feet tall. 2nd is 32", and third is 28". They are pretty nice!

Seeking Someone Who Can Powder-Coat
A request for help from Patrick Flynn:
I am located in Bath, Maine and am looking for someone who does quality powder-coating. If you know anyone who can vouch for a place that does quality work at a reasonable price, please contact me at Patrick.Flynn@med.navy.mil. I would greatly appreciate it.

New Shows...New Project
We have a new PROJECTS page up, featuring Larry Cote's rebuild of his black Impala. Check it out here.
So far, HotKarz has posted 5 upcoming shows, with plenty more in the works. If you are organizing a show, be sure to get all the info into us as soon as you can, because a lot of our readers fill in their calendar early.
For those of you who have not visited our home page recently, we have a special "Pic of the Week" up this week - 3 pix of something we've not seen for awhile. Check it out here.

HotKarz Best of the Best Awards 2009
Well, the new season is upon us. And once again HotKarz will sponsor special trophies for the most deserving of vehicles. Only there will be a difference this year.
Due to the rather poor economy, we realize that a lot of folks simply will not be able to make as many cruises as they might like, so we are changing the trophy format to move away from cruises and more to the shows. And, unlike last year, you need not attend anything in order to vote. This should make it a lot easier for everyone.
Here is how we think it will work (we are still working out the kinks).
At every qualifying show (those that Hotkarz can get to - we will post it in advance), Hotkarz will post pictures on the Internet of the First Place winners in each category, provided the winners do not split before we can get the pix. Then, ANYONE with a computer can vote via email for the ONE vehicle among those winners that they think is best. One vote per email account per show. If we get to 20 shows, you can vote 20 times, but only for one winning vehicle from each show.
At the end of the season, the votes will be tallied and trophies awarded for the HOTKARZ Best of the Best for 2009.
Or something like that. We are trying to work out kinks, because not all shows make it easy to get pix of the winning vehicles.
The trophies have been ordered - I will post pix when they arrive next week. The SMALLEST ones are 28" tall, which is 2" taller than our 1st place trophy last year. Our 1st place this year will be 36" - a full 10" taller than last year.
As always, any car owned/showed by me or my family will be ineligible.
Please feel free to let me know your thoughts/suggestions.
