It Never Fails

First, a sign of the times...

Well now, winter is here for certain, it seems. And it promises to be a corker!

And wouldn't you know it - 8 inches of snow, and only 6 degrees out, and I go out to clear the driveway and - you guessed it, the snowblower would not start. Not even a year old! First I tried the electric start, but it literally blew up - the casing blew apart. So, I tried using the pull cord. No dice - it still would not start. Changed the plug. Checked gas & oil. No go.

I sure am having a helluva year when it comes to equipment. So far, a one year old Husky tractor crapped out, thanks to V&M Rental. A brand new pressure washer, never used, won't start. Two of our ATV's needed work in order to run - and one still does not run right. The ex-tenant at my other house wrecked the lawn tractor I bought for that place. And this is the second snowblower gone bad in 12 months.

It's a great life if you don't weaken :o)

And now it looks like we are in for another 10-18 inches tomorrow through Monday morning.

Perhaps Al Gore should visit Maine.

Oil Production Being Slashed

As I predicted two months ago, OPEC met Monday, and decided to cut the production of oil in an effort to increase the price. They will slash 2.2 million barrels PER DAY - the largest production cut in history!

We may or may not feel any immediate effect, but it's pretty certain the price will rise, since demand is not going down, but production is. OPEC wants the price to increase to approximately $100/barrel (almost twice what it is now). So, as suggested two months ago, if you heat with fuel, y'all may want to fill your tanks pretty soon if you have not done so already. If the price goes up, you win. If it does not, you lose nothing because you would need the fuel, anyway.

Coming This Friday

OK, so the season is over and we don't get to "socialize" as much. Well, that can change this Friday.

As many of you know, a car buff friend, former Deputy Sheriff Larry Cote, was forced into retirement due to a serious medical condition. So, his department buddies and friends have decided to help Larry cope with the expenses and lost income. They are holding a fundraiser at 7:00 PM this Friday night at Verrillo's Convention Center, Riverside Street, Portland. Tickets are $10.00 each and will be available at the door. Everyone is invited to attend, and we hope many of you will. I hear it will be quite the shindig, with an auction, 50/50 and everything.

While Larry is now retired, he says the upside is that he will now have more time to go to shows and cruises next season, and pester us with his presence :o)

We sincerely hope he will, and we wish him the best. Our prayers go out to Larry and his family.

A Christmas Gift For You

As Christmas approaches, I gave some thought as to what I could offer all our loyal visitors in the way of a Christmas wish. And it occured to me that wishing you all good health in the New Year would be the best wish.

And then I thought, "Why not offer them the gift of better health?" As it happens, I offer a 128 page book on the Internet entitled, "The Simple Man's Guide to Natural Health & Healing." It has sold throughout North America for $29.95, and has become quite popular. And I got to thinking it would make an excellent gift for HotKarz readers.

So, here's the scoop - if you read this, you can get a free PDF copy of the book just for asking for it. This free offer is for HotKarz.com readers only - I still have to make a living :o)

If you would like to know more about it, you can check it out at www.intellibiz.com/healthcare.html. But do NOT go to the order page to order, or you will be charged. Instead, if you want a free copy, just email me at ptwoodycrew@aol.com, and ask for the Natural Health book. And I'll email you a free copy. If you do not have Adobe Reader (to open and read PDF files), you can get it free on the internet - just GOOGLE "Free Adobe Reader".

I cannot guarantee you good health, but I can guarantee you the potential for better health. I did the research for this book in an attempt to save my own life, and it has proven invaluable. Some of you know that I have COPD - emphysema and chronic bronchitis. What you may not know is that I was diagnosed in the '90's. And as any doctor can tell you, COPD cannot be reversed, and is degenerative - it just gets worse until it's over. Back then, the doc told me I would be on an oxy tank within 5 more years, and not to plan on much beyond two more years after that. In other words, I should not even be here. But not only am I here, but my health has not deteriorated noticeably in the last 15 years! No, I am not in perfect health. But I am above ground, and I was not supposed to be. I am not on oxygen. I cut and split wood. I can walk all day (you've seen me do it at shows :o). I have not had to see a doctor or visit a hospital since 1998. And I credit the information I gathered for this book.

So, please feel free to request a free copy for your family - our gift to you for the Holidays. Because we care.
