Super Garage #2

HotKarz has just posted the second in what I hope will be a series of "Super Garage" galleries. Check it out - especially the last pic. Please note - according to the owner, of the thousands of oil cans, there are no duplicates!

This weekend we will be having another contest. It will be a lot like the last contest, except that it will be sections of vehicles, rather than faces. The first person to guess the MAKE, MODEL and YEAR of the vehicle will be the winner. Of course, if the vehicle part belongs to your vehicle, please refrain from entering a guess :o) That would be unfair to everyone else who has not spent countless hours polishing that part.

The weather sure has turned chilly, eh? I believe in a post early in the summer I predicted a cold, early and long winter. I was certainly hoping to be wrong.

Well, election day is nigh, and most pundits and polls say McCain has little, if any chance. Frankly, I think it will be close - very close. And there is even a chance for an upset. I don't think Mr. Obama has "closed the deal" with a lot of folks, because of too many unanswered questions.

Considering how Bush has the lowest approval in history (other than that of Congress, and bin Laden), and the economy debacle, and the fact that the media is in the tank for Obama, it would seem that he should be up in the 70% range in the polls. I think almost any other Democrat would be. But Obama is barely holding his own. Why?

We cannot blame racism, because fewer than 10% of whites are racist, and it also works in reverse - 90% of blacks are voting for Obama (reverse racism against McCain). So, it isn't racism that keeps Obama from closing the deal. It's credibility. Every time another questionable association pops up, he tries to summarily dismiss it without filling us in. Same with issues, like "spreading the wealth". And though he has said hundreds of times that he will fund his pet projects like health care, he still has not explained where, exactly, he will get that much money - Fact-Check says that his plan comes up about $428 billion short.

Perhaps this excellent speaker should have spent just a little more time talking about the things we need to hear, and less about his platform's "talking points."

But perhaps he can't. Because the truth might not help him...

As for spending $4 million on that dumb "Obama Mama Infomercial" last night, I can't help but wonder how many poor people he pretends to care about could have made better use of all that money...
